Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2015/f1503.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Mazie Bouvier Goff, native of Hervey, LA and a resident of Thibodaux, LA since 1965, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015, surrounded by her family. She is survived by: her two children, Paula Broussard, husband Rickey Broussard, and Paul Goff, Jr., wife Lucy Goff; her two grandsons, Damon Stentz, wife Andrea Stentz, and Ray Pontiff; her five great-grandchildren, Dylan and Addison Stentz, and Ashley, Bailey, and Parker Ray Pontiff; and her great-great grandchild, Brooklyn. Mrs. Goff was predeceased by her husband Paul Goff, Sr., and her parents Arthur and Leona Bouvier. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015 at St. Joseph Co- Cathedral Church in Thibodaux from 1:00 PM until service time. A Memorial Mass will take place at 3:00 PM with burial to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Mrs. Goff remained active in the community. She was past president of the Family Community Education Council, a member of Bayou Women's Club, first vice president of Bayouland Arts Club, a member of Bayou Newcomer's Club, and the Red Hatters Plantation Belles Chapter. She was an active member of Thibodaux Regional Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary for forty-seven years, working in all departments, reaching a total of 27,500 work hours. On March 15, 2011, she was honored to serve as Senior Mayor for a day. Mazie was a people person who helped anyone who needed it. She loved to read and listen to big band music. She cooked for her whole family once a week to get the scoop on their lives. Before moving to Thibodaux, she taught at St. Rosalie's School in Harvey.
