Barbara Holmes, 47. A native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Gray, LA died 
on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Terrebonne General Medical Center.

A celebration of life for Ms. Holmes will be held at Community Funeral Home on 
Saturday, March 14, 2015. Visitation from 9:00a.m. until funeral time at 
11:00a.m. 

with burial at Halfway Cemetery.

Left to forever cherish her memories are her children, Naja and Nigel Holmes 
both of Gray, LA. Her parents, Willie and Delores Brown Holmes and seven 
sisters, Joyce (Harold)Lee, Shelia (Donald) Bergeron, Laura and Rhonda Holmes 
all of Gray, LA, Jeannie Rice of Dallas, TX, Debbie and LaTina Holmes of Houma, 
LA. Four brothers, Lloyd(Mable) Chatman of Locust Grove, GA, Claude Brown of 
Oklahoma City, OK, Ronald Holmes of Gray, LA and Willie Holmes, Jr., of Houma, 
LA

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Georgian Lovely Holmes and 
Author Holmes, Sr., and Joseph and Alma Winslow Brown. One niece and two 
nephews.
