Born November 27, 1930. He was a native of Bayou Blue, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Friday, March 27, 2015 from 9:00AM until service time at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00AM at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial: Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife of 64 years: Beverly Duplantis Marcel. His children: Michael (Paulette) Marcel, Darlene (Larry) Freeman and Jody (Linda) Marcel. Grandchildren: Dia Blanchard, Todd Marcel, Dena (Christopher) Naquin, Cody Marcel, Scott (Tammy) Freeman, Joshua (Somer) Freeman and Sara Plaisance. Twelve Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great grandchild. One sister: Virtrine Daigle. Junius was preceded in death by his parents: Louis Marcel and Augusta Duet Marcel. sisters: Aline, Celine, Irene and Flavia. Brother: Eugene and one great-grandchild. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Junius was a hard worker, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone, which he instilled in all his children. He enjoyed dancing with his wife, camping, hunting, fishing and family gatherings. Dad will be greatly missed by everyone's life he has touched. The family would like to send a special thank you to Heritage Manor especially Bernadette and Tarlene and all the other caring employees. ======================
