Vida Cortez Martinez, 90, a native and a resident of Kraemer, passed away 
Friday, March 13, 2015. 
She was born April 05, 2024.

A visitation will be held in her honor on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at St. 
Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church in Kraemer from 8:30 AM until the Mass of 
Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. 

The burial will follow in St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church Cemetery in 
Kraemer.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Joseph "Jack" Martinez; four loving 
children, Jerral Martinez and wife Elizabeth, Eddie Martinez and wife Susan, 
Kitty Martinez, and Wilmer Martinez and wife Melinda; sister, Marion Granier; 
grandchildren, Donald Martinez, Becky Martinez, Jerry Martinez, Jenny M. Babin, 
Jill M. Cavalier, Brady Granier, Teddy Granier, Benjamin LeBlanc, and Will 
Martinez; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilmer and Laura Granier Cortez; 
loving son, David Martinez; brother, Howard Cortez; and sister, Earline Cortez.

She was a member of the Ladies Alter Society at St. Lawrence the Martyr 
Catholic Church. She loved and cared for her family very much and will be 
missed greatly.
