She was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Friday, March 27, 2015 from 9:00 AM until Service time at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Interment: St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery She is survived by her, Children, Peggy Bergeron and husband Rene Bergeron, Kenneth Porche and wife Dorothy Porche, Ricky J. Porche and partner David Jumonville, Gale Pellegrin, Denise Stewart and husband Andrew Stewart; Grandchildren, Tara Hebert, Cary Bergeron, Lloyd Porche, Chalayne Dies, John Porche, Beau Porche, Ian Porche, Nichole Marretta, Andy Stewart, Ben Stewart, Abigail Stewart; 14 Great Grandchildren; Siblings, Norman Marcel, Junell Marcel, Louis Marcel, Louise Porche, Kurt Marcel, and Alice Clark. She was preceded in death by her, Husband, Elsey Porche, Son, Dale Porche, Daughter in law, Marcia Porche Parents, Sullivan Paul Marcel and Louise Marie Molaison Marcel, Siblings, Ethel Babin, Russell Marcel and Hazel Filce Great Granddaughter, Kaitlynn Bergeron. She was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Rita was a loving mother and grandmother. She volunteered at the food bank and the medicine bank. She was a devoted volunteer and parishioner of Maria Immacolata Church. She was a member of Woodmen of the World. She was a cancer survivor and a very dedicated and devoted volunteer for Relay For Life. She loved playing cards. The family wishes to thank all the caretakers in her time of need. ======================
