At Martha's request, no funeral service will be held. The family will be returning her to her longtime home of Louisiana. She is survived by her children, Roxanne King (Roy), Rochelle Leonard (Toby) and Scott Roy; and grandchildren, Joseph King, Kara King, Kacie King, James Leonard, Laura Leonard, John Leonard and Amanda Leonard. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Roy, her parents William and Euna Marsh and her older brother, William. Martha was born in McNary, Arizona, and raised in Hines, Oregon, the youngest of two children born to William Prescott and Euna Harper Marsh. A lifelong music lover, Martha gained an early appreciation for making her own, mastering instruments including the accordion, saxophone, piano and flute. After graduating from a local high school, Martha transplanted to Louisiana to pursue her teaching certificate from Southwestern Louisiana Institute, graduating in 1952. While there, she met her husband of 61 years, Joseph Laurent Roy. The two were married in 1953, and relocated to Houma. While in Houma, Martha served as a local music maestro, teaching piano lessons and leading the children's choir at Annunziata Catholic Church for many years. After teaching in the early years of her marriage, Martha took an early retirement to focus on raising her three children, Roxanne Roy King, Rochelle Roy Leonard and Joseph Prescott Roy. Please remember Martha for her love of music and her candid demeanor. McNutt Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas, is in charge of arrangements. ======================
