Shirley Scott, 74. A native and resident of Gibson, LA died on Tuesday, March 
17, 2015 at 1:39a.m.

Her celebration of life will be held at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church 4328 N. 
Bayou Black Drive Gibson, LA on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 with visitation from 
10:00a.m. until funeral time at 12:00p.m. The funeral will be officiated by Dr. 
Rev. James Allen. 

She will be buried in Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memories three sons, Ronald Scott, Eric Jackson and 
Malcolm Scott and daughters, Gilda Scott and Abigail Petit. Five sisters, 
Augusta Garrett, Audrey Hayes, Larender Smith Annie Stewart and Delphine Short. 
14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis B. Scott and parents
Gracie Stewart Hayes and Martin D. Stewart, Sr. Two sons, Southern Jackson and 
Vincent Scott. Brothers, Samuel, Butler, Martin Stewart,Jr., Kevin Stewart 
Hayes and Gary Stewart Hayes. Two sisters, Audrey Hayes and Patricia Hayes.
