Troy Joseph Smith, 71, was born on March 4, 1944 and passed away on March 30, 
2015. He was a native and resident of Thibodaux, LA.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Thibodaux Funeral Home 
from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at St. Joseph Co-
Cathedral from 8:00 AM until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will take 
place at 10:00 AM 

with burial to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Charlotte Folse Smith; children, Rae 
Thompson and husband Matt; son, Stuart K. Smith and wife Karen; mother, Cora 
Lee Smith; grandchildren, Taylor and Storie Thompson and Frances and Noah 
Smith; sisters, Cathy McGehee, Vicki Exely, and Toni Myers, and many other 
beloved family members.

He is preceded in death by his father, Kermit Smith and grandparents, Emile and 
"Bijou" Bourgeois and Troy and Annie T. Camp.

He enjoyed spending his time with his family members and took great pride in 
his grandkids. He also enjoyed playing cards with his friends and loved sports 
of every kind. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any charity of your choice or to 
the American Cancer Society.

Thibodaux Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of handling the funeral arrangements.
