Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Friday, April 24, at Greater Carver Missionary Baptist Church in New Orleans. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell. He is survived by his daughters, Cortina L. Brooks Smith and Nellie L. Brooks, of Houma; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Herbert and Raymond Brooks; sisters, Delores Clay and Mildred Brooks; foster daughters, Bessie and Helen Taylor; and foster son, Ron Taylor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Ann Stewart Brooks; and parents, Frank and Mildred Brooks. Boyds and Brooks Funeral Home in New Orleans is in charge of arrangements. ======================
