Emelda "Mel" Calloway-Brothers, 66, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a 
resident of Gibson, died Friday, April 3, 2015.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at the chapel. The funeral 
will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Jones Funeral Home in Houma, 
6775 West Park Avenue, Houma, LA 70364. 

Burial will follow in Southdown Cemetery.

She is survived by: one son, Daniel Brothers (Tina); one daughter, Raxl 
Brothers-Jackson (Eric); four sisters, Lenora Clay (Randolph), Virginia 
Holliday (Calvin), Doris Kemper, Yvonne Camacho; one brother, Harry Calloway 
(Fredricka); four grandchildren, Adrienne Jackson, Alayshia Brothers, Danica 
Brothers and Daniel Brothers, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other 
relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, James, Jr.  and Hazel Daigs 
Calloway; and one brother, Rudolph Calloway.

Jones Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
