Visitation will take place on Tuesday April 14, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 9 till service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 11 am with burial following in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Mausoleum. Mrs. Vida is survived by her sons, Gary and wife Kaffie Dominique Galliano and Terry and wife Madline Hunter Galliano, grandchildren Andrea Sparks and husband Grant, Dante' Galliano and wife Lauren, Melissa Armond and husband Ned, Celeste Simmons and husband Tony, and Corynn Carrano and husband Chris, step- grandchildren Valerie Thompson and husband Brian, Ann Davis and husband Patrick, and Kalli Fitzgerald and husband Ryan, twelve great grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren. Mrs. Galliano was preceded in death by her beloved husband Juan A Galliano, parents Webber E. and Odelia Triche Vega, brother Napoleon "Blue" Vega sisters Enola Gisclair, Clothilde Fayette and Vina Adams. She graduated from Cut Off in May of 1946. She married Juan, the love of her life, in July of 1946. When her boys were in elementary school she attended Nicholls State University and received her degree in Education. She taught third grade at Galliano Elementary for 30 years. She loved to go dancing, visiting with friends, cook and can food and many other things but the best was working along with her husband in the yard and garden.
