Sheryl Ann White Harris, 57, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of 
Houma, died Monday, April 13, 2015 at Terrebonne General Medical Center.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral 
will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Greater St. Matthews 
Baptist Church, 183 Smith Lane, Houma, LA 70360, with Pastor Donald Stovall 
officiating. 

Burial will follow in Southdown Cemetery, 125 Civic Center Blvd, Houma, LA.

She is survived by; Her husband, Melvin John Harris, Sr.; one son, Melvin 
Harris, Jr.;  three daughters, Quintel Harris (Devon Randall), Lashanya 
(Anthony Bogen, Sr.), and Shantell Harris; one sister, Heidi Steverson (Aaron), 
four brothers, Jerry White, Darryl White, Sr. (Tameka), Tom Scoby, Jr. (Margie) 
and Michael Scoby (Amanda); mother-in-law, Marie Harris; and nine 
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by, her father, Nathanial Marshall; mother and 
stepfather, Tom, Sr. and Leontine White-Scoby; maternal grandparents, Rev. 
Nathanial, Sr. and Olivia Hawkins White; great nephew, Dustin Skky Smith, Jr. 
aunts, Henrene Williams, Odeath, Hawkins, Rosie S. Taylor; uncles, Clarence 
Hawkins, Henry (Boo White) Jones, Nathaniel White, Jr., and Charles Stevenson; 
father-in-law, Percy Harris; son-in-law, Bernell G. Francis, Sr.; and sister-
in-law, Cheryl Harris.  

Jones Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
