Mona Marie Naquin Larose, 91yrs old, passed away on the evening of Monday, 
April 6, 2015. 

She was a graduate of Thibodaux High School and of Southwestern Louisiana 
Institute (University of Louisiana at Lafayette). She was a wonderful mother 
and loving wife and sister. She knew no stranger and loved to travel and meet 
people. Gardening and volunteer work were her joys. She volunteered at E. D. 
White Catholic High School and Habitat for Humanity as well as other 
organizations. She was a life-long parishioner of St. Joseph Co-Cathedral.

She is survived by her children, Elizabeth “Beth” Larose Dunn and husband, Mike 
Dunn, Adele Carmel Larose, Judge Francis Hugh “Buddy” Larose, Jr. and wife, 
Theresa Gascon Larose, Michael Larose and wife, Eileen Fallon Larose; 
grandchildren, Francis Hugh “Trey” Larose, III, Genevieve Elizabeth Larose; and 
step-grandchild, Elizabeth Alexandra Fox; brother, Clyde Naquin; sister, 
Carolyn Naquin Oncale; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Francis Hugh Larose, Sr.; 
sisters, Helen Naquin Hodnett and Bertha “Byrdie” Naquin Barker.

A Visitation will be held in her honor on Friday, April 10, 2015 at St. Joseph 
Co-Cathedral from 8:30am until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 
on Friday at 12:00 noon at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral. 

Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
