Lorraine Chauvin Plaisance, 85, a native of Raceland, LA and a resident of 
Lockport, LA, passed away at 10:10 AM, Monday, April 20, 2015, with her loving 
family by her side.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM, Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at 
Falgout Funeral Home, Lockport, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 
celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Holy Savior Catholic Church 

with burial to follow in Holy Savior Catholic Church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Joseph "J.C." Plaisance; daughters, 
Louise Guidry and husband Thomas, Loretta Plaisance; son, Eric Plaisance and 
wife Pat; brother,Ridley "Buck" Chauvin; sisters, Nola Lee Breaux, Agnes 
Cheramie, Theresa Roundtree, Janette Eiland, Eva McKee; grandchildren, Toby 
Guidry and wife Sheila, Joey Guidry , Justin Plaiance and Laura Plaisance and 
fiancé Kevin Cortez; great grandchildren Daisy Guidry, Maddox and Tristen 
Plaisance, Sydaleigh Plaisance and K.J. Cortez.

She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Plaisance; parents, Simon and 
Enola Robichaux Chauvin; brothers, Simon Chauvin Jr., Ralph Chauvin; sisters 
Inez Cheramie, Mary Francis Jeandron and Louise Chauvin.

Lorraine was Past President of American Legion Auxiliary Post 83 of Lockport, 
was first person in charge of the Lockport Day Care Center when Lafourche ARC 
started. Her work career also included switchboard operator at St. Anne 
Hospital, Paraprofessional at Holy Savior School and she loved to sew and 
crochet for her family.

P.O. Box 248, Lockport, LA. 70374.
