Visitation will be at St. Bridget Catholic Church, Schriever, LA from 10am - 11am on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bridget Catholic Church will be at 11am on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 Burial will be in St. Bridget Cemetery Married to Leonard Bernard, Sr. for 75 years, Mrs. Bernard lived a happy and blessed life. She was adored by family and friends and always eager to help others. After helping her husband build a successful cane syrup mill business, she became a homemaker and devoted mother to five children. Survived by her husband of 75 years, Leonard Bernard, Sr.; daughters Kathryn Champagne (Gene), Carolyn Brown (Lacy), Elaine Benoit, son Leonard Bernard, Jr. (Connie), sister Miriam Hartman, brothers Conrad, Teddy, Melvyn and Kearnie Baudoin, 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 24 great great grandchildren and 2 great great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents Merrill and Eve Matherne Baudoin, step mother Elrena Foret Baudoin, brother Francis Baudoin, sisters Noella Melancon, Gertrude Sampey, Emma Zerangue, Emelie "Molly" Chauvin, son Allen Bernard, grandchildren Aimee' Benoit, Brian Champagne and Naomi Champagne and sons in law Marvin Benoit and John Toups, Jr. Many thanks to family, friends, Haydel Hospice, especially Patti and Germaine, and the Terrebonne Council on Aging (Jodie) for their devoted and loving care.
