Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday, May 6, at Christian Fellowship Church in Larose at the corner of La. 308 and East 22nd Street. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. He is survived by his wife of 59 and a half years, Hazel Felarise Cheramie; son, Robert "Bobby" Cheramie Jr. and wife, Kenolyn; daughters, Trudy C. Danos and husband, Aaron Sr., and Tina Cheramie and fiancé, Mitch Smith; grandchildren, Aimee Crawford and husband, Toby, Aaron Danos Jr., Addie Arvidson and husband, Eric, Alissa Moore and husband, Jason, Kesti Gaspard and husband, Robby, Ren Cheramie, Reesa Renee' Gravois and Hanna Rae Gravois; and great-grandchildren, Braxton and Hampton Callais, Kaitlin and Jasmine Moore, Alexandra Hanson, Owen and Grayson Crawford, Kaylen and Kassidy Danos, Owen and Matthew Gaspard and Izzie Belle Nguyen. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Anson Cheramie; parents, Edison and Lodia Cheramie; twin brother, Raleigh "Bess" Cheramie; and sister, Lorita C. Dugas.Robert was a songwriter and loved sports, drawing, crafting, fishing and bowling. For 34 years, he and his twin brother were known as the "Chain Gang," holding the down markers for various football games. He was a loving and faithful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and loyal friend. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements ======================
