Joseph J. Crochet Sr., 77, a native and resident of Montegut, passed away 
Friday, May 29, 2015. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday, June 1, at Sacred 
Heart Catholic Church in Montegut. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 
a.m. Monday at the church, 

with burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Church cemetery in Montegut. 

He is survived by his wife, Judy Portier Crochet; daughters, Roxanne Claire 
Ledet and husband, Barry, and Jody Lee Crochet; sister, Gertie Johnson; 
grandchildren, Jennifer Neil and husband, Kyle, and Monique Hebert; and great-
grandchildren, Austin and Abbie Neil. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alexina Crochet; son, Joseph 
Crochet Jr.; and numerous brothers and sisters. 

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
