He was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 9:30 to 11:30am at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 11:30am at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral . Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2 He is survived by his Son: Charles Elfert Jr. and fianc'e Cindy Marino, Daughters: Bonnie Elfert Willett, Carla Elfert Bergeron, Grandchildren: Brooke, Casey, Katie, Sarah, Aimee, Shawn. Great Grandchildren: 13. He was preceded in death by his Spouse: Corinne Elfert, Parents: Charles Elfert and Leonore Elfert, Brother: Sidney Elfert, Sisters: Hazel Elfert Daigle,Idola Elfert Larpenter, Hilda Elfert Hebert, Winnie Elfert Grundon, Grandson: Brent Bergeron, He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral . He was a veteran of the Second World War. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the Knights of Columbus at St. Francis De Sales Cathedral. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and bowler. He was a wonderful husband, father and hard working man. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends Veteran WWII ======================
