Abraham C. Griffin, 93, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, passed away 
Friday, May 29, 2015. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday, June 1, at Our Lady 
of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. A Mass of Christian Burial 
will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, 

with burial in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery in Golden 
Meadow. 

He is survived by his wife, Melva Williams Griffin; son, Linton Griffin and 
wife, Martha; daughters, Marilyn Dewey and husband, Ike, and Mildred Collins 
and husband, Tedman; brother, Ronald Griffin; sisters, Naise Rousse and Laura 
Cheramie; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Silas and Sedonia Griffin; brothers, 
Jerevis, Freddie, Cleveland and C.J. Griffin; and sisters, Beulah Cheramie and 
Lois Serigny. 

Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
