"Cleve" Guidry, 86, a native of Cut Off, passed away, Saturday, May 9, 2015, in Houston, Texas. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday, May 16, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 15330 West Main Street in Cut Off. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with rite of committal in Sacred Heart Catholic Church cemetery. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Guidry; longtime friend, Edna Binnion; sisters, Rose Adams and Joyce Bernard; brother, Jimmy Guidry and wife, Paula; sisters-in-law, Mille Tohey and Beverly Tohey; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Tohey Guidry. Cleve enjoyed the worldwide travel he experienced during decades of working for Gulf Oil. He was a U.S. Army veteran and life member of the VFW. He was always active and fun-loving with the Astros, bowling and card games at the top of his list.
