Benson J. Plaisance, Jr, age 72, a native and resident of Raceland, passed away 
on Thursday, May 14, 2015.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May18, 2015 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic 
Church in Thibodaux from 9:00 until 11:00 am. A funeral Mass will be held 
starting at 11:00 am 

with burial to follow in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church cemetery in 
Thibodaux.

Benson is survived by his wife, Catherine Zeringue Plaisance; sons, Chris 
Plaisance (Romy), Glenn Plaisance (Ginger), Gregory Plaisance, Matt Plaisance 
and Paul Plaisance; daughter, Mary Robichaux (Jason); brothers Nelson and 
Charles Plaisance; sister, Marguerite Jones; 8 grandchildren, Alex, Jarron, 
Elise, Kristen, Meaghan and Gage Plaisance, Dexter and Macy Robichaux.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Benson J. Plaisance and Vlyna Chauvin 
Plaisance.
