Noland "Ironman" Shelby, 76, a native and resident of Raceland, died Sunday, 
May 3, 2015. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Third Zion Baptist 
Church in Raceland. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, 

with burial in Third Zion Baptist Church cemetery in Raceland. 

He is survived by his son, Nolan (Olivia) Doyle; daughters, Shenita Doyle, 
Raquel Rogers and Debra Shelby; brothers, Joseph Shelby and Tony (Kendra) 
Shelby; stepbrother, Craig Stratton; sisters, Evelina Shelby, Barbara (Wilfred) 
Nash, Ethel (Cleve) Harrison, Albertha Turner and Beatrice (Alton) Williams; 
nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albertha and Hosey Shelby Sr.; 
stepbrother, Joseph Stratton; sister, Linda Turner; brother, Hosey Shelby Jr.; 
and grandparents, Ethel and Henry Williams. 

Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
