Visitation will take place on Saturday May 16, 2015 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church from 9:00 am till service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am with burial following in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery. Mrs. Lena is survived by her daughters Christel T. DeCoste and husband Bud and Patricia T.Vizier and husband Brent, sister Edith Hebert, brother Whiley Cheramie, son-in-law Linton Melancon, grandchildren Lanny Griffin Jr., Dolly Tauzin, Jill Pitre, Carla Terrebonne, Joy Billiot, Harris Griffin, Keith Guilbeau, Lisa Miller, Faith Green, Roddy Melancon, Chelsi Myers, Leah Alessi, and Wesley Vizier, 25 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, and god children Chick Vegas, Aubrey Breaux Jr and Greg Terry. Mrs. Terrebonne was preceded by her first husband Harris J. Griffin, second husband Claydomire J. Terrebonne, parents Clovis B. and Rita Daigle Cheramie, son Lanny Griffin Sr. daughter Elaine G. Melancon, great-granddaughter Alexa Miller, brother Eunice Cheramie, sisters Eula Breaud, Beatrice Matherne, Louella Cheramie, Rosita Plaisance, and Lois Cheramie, and godchild Karen Callais. Mrs. Lena was a member of the Ladies Altar Society of Our Lady of Prompt Succor, K.C., the American Legion Auxillary, the Golden Meadow Woman's Club and a local bowling league. She enjoyed sports, reading the newspaper, crossword puzzles, and playing cards and Scrabble with family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of South Louisiana, Dr. Camille Pitre, and the staff of Lady of the Sea General Hospital, who truly live up to their motto "Compassionate Care Close to Home".
