Rita Plaisance Thibodeaux, 83, a native and resident of Larose passed away on 
Saturday, May 2, 2015.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Our Lady of the Rosary 
Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial 
will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. 

with burial to follow in Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church cemetery.

She is survived by her daughters, Anna Thibodeaux and Paula T. Hebert and 
husband Michael; son Murphy J. Thibodeaux, Jr. and wife Debra; brothers, Junis 
Plaisance and Paul Plaisance; grandchildren, Jessica Orgeron and husband John, 
Emily and Ethan Hebert; great grandchild, Kodi Orgeron.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Murphy Thibodeaux, Sr.; parents, 
Ecton, Sr. and Jeanne Plaisance; brother, Ecton Plaisance, Jr.; sisters, Mary 
Jane Plaisance and Mathilda Plaisance.

Rita was a successful seamstress and enjoyed gardening. She kept up a large 
vegetable garden for many years along with many potted plants and flowers. For 
a big portion of her adult life she raised three children alone after the death 
of her husband. She labored long and hard and did everything she could for 
them.
