Ella Josephine Verret, 89, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, 
died at 4:50 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015. 

Visitation will be 5-10 p.m. Monday, June 1, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma 
and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday, June 2, at St. Eloi Catholic 
Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, 

with burial in St. Eloi Catholic Church cemetery. 

She is survived by her son, James "Boy" and wife, Velma Verret, of Houma, and 
Junius "Ba Ba" and wife, Terry Verret, of Houma; daughters, Agnes Dean 
Molinaire and husband, Harrison, of Houma, and Frances "Fran" Newsom and 
husband, Ron, of Crowville; 25 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 20 
great-great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Clifford John "Clopha" Verret; 
parents, William Simore and Marie Naquin Billiot; brothers, Lovance, John, 
Alexanderia, Evest, Enest and Antoine Billiot; and sisters, Hazel Lombas, Adele 
Verret, Artemise Rouso and Stella Billiot. 

Ella was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church. 
She was a retired chef who had worked for K-Mart and Nifty-Fifty. 

 Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
