ZERINGUE, BETTY (MATHERNE) 

Betty Matherne Zeringue, 82, a native and resident of Raceland, passed away 
Saturday, May 30, 2015. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday, June 3, at St. 
Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. 
Wednesday at the church, 

with burial in St. Mary's Nativity Cemetery. 

She is survived by her son, Randy Zeringue (Mona); daughters, Susan Barbier 
(Terence) and Lisa Hebert (Michael); brothers, J.C. "Jake," Kirlin "Nookie," 
Clarence "Buck" Jr., Francis "Poonie" and Robert "Bobby" Matherne; sisters, 
Verna "Noonie" Theriot, Bernice "Bea" Falgout; grandchildren, Shawn, Sarah, 
Patrick Zeringue, Ashley, Cheri, Claire Barbier, Alyssa Molaison (Ben) and 
Taylor Hebert. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy John Zeringue; parents, 
Clarence "Cayenne" Sr. and Cecile Matherne; brothers, Willie "Billy" and Jerry 
"Pee Wee" Matherne; and grandson, Christopher Zeringue. 

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
