Rodney Anthony Authement, 60, a native of Houma and resident of Chauvin, died 
Monday, June 29, 2015. 

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Monday, July 6, at Samart Funeral Home and from 9 
a.m. until funeral time Tuesday, July 7, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Mass 
of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, 

with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church cemetery, Chauvin. 

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Blanchard Authement; mother, Patricia 
Duplantis Authement Gautreaux; sons, Shannon Authement, Michael Authement and 
Courtney Blanchard; daughter, Kandace Authement and companion, Christopher 
Pitre; brothers, Randy Authement and Corey Authement; and grandchildren, 
Natalie Authement, Christian Authement, Alexis Adams, Madison Authement, Connor 
Authement, Trent Price, Kaylee Authement, Brennan Authement, Kynzie Authement 
and Bennett Pitre. 

He was preceded in death by his father,Adrian Authement. Rodney was a member of 
the Knights of Columbus. He loved hunting, fishing, spending time with his 
grandchildren and was a very dedicated worker. 

The family would like any flowers to be sent to Samart Funeral Home for the 
services or donations may be mailed to 5291 Bayouside Dr., Chauvin, LA 70344.
