John Dempster, 83, a native of Chackbay, LA and resident of Chackbay, LA, 
passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2015.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor 
Catholic Church from 8:00 am to 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 
celebrated at 10:30 am at the church 

with burial in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Trosclair Dempster; son, Jeffrey Dempster and 
wife Gwyn Amedee Dempster; daughters, Jennifer Dempster Cazenave and husband 
Steven Cazenave, Rebecca Dempster Becnel and husband Kenneth Becnel; 8 
grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marcellian Dempster and Angella 
Rodrigue Dempster; sisters, Vivian Dempster Ordoyne, Verna Dempster Kraemer.
