Amy "MaMa Amy" Every, 96, a native and resident of Thibodaux, departed this 
life Tuesday, June 23, 2015.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until funeral time Saturday, June 27, at 
Moses Baptist Church in Thibodaux. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday 
at the church conducted by Pastor David B. Gilton, 

with burial in St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery in Lafourche Crossing.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeanette Sims; devoted granddaughter, Fernette 
H. Gilton; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeanetta Allen Ellis and Samuel Ellis 
I; husband, Calvin Every Sr.; daughter, Mary Helen Every Johnson; sons, Leroy 
Every Sr. and Calvin Every Jr.; grandson, Don Oliver Frye; three sisters; and 
seven brothers.

Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
