Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday, June 26, at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux. A Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church. He donated his body to LSU Medical School of Science. He is survived by his wife, Connie R. Hymel; daughter, Shelly H. Bergeron; son, Clint J. Hymel; son-in-law, Casey Bergeron; grandchildren, Carter Bergeron, Camille Bergeron and Chloe Hymel; brother, Menard "Brother" Hymel Jr. (Nora); sisters, Patty Hebert (Bobby), Julie Gros (Allen), Penny Utz (Mickey), Kelli Stegall (Mike) and Holly Westerman (Joey); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Menard Hymel Sr. and Ann Naquin Hymel; and mother-in-law, Doris Barrilleaux Richard. James was a superintendent for Koch Specialty Plant Services. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He enjoyed working in his garden, hunting and fishing. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements. ======================
