Herbert "Big Herb" Mitchell, III, a native and resident of Houma, died Sunday, 
June 8, 2015 at 11:00 p.m.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral 
will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at New Mt. Pilgrim Baptist 
Church located at 146 Banks St in Houma with Pastor Troy Smith officiating. 

Burial will follow in Morristown Benevolent Cemetery in Raceland.

He is survived by his mother, Carrie Moultrie Mitchell; sisters, Dominique and 
Dora Moultrie and Latoya Mitchell; brothers, David, Jordan, and Joseph 
Moultrie, Nick Calloway, Donta Smith, Tony Tucker, Keron George, Johnny 
Poindexter and Morris Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Mitchell Jr; and grandparents, 
Marion and Herbert Mitchell Sr. and Elouise and Isaac Moultrie.
