Joseph Kirvin Parfait, 86, died Friday, June 5, 2015. 
He was a native of Terrebonne Parish, LA and resident of Dulac, LA.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. 
at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. until 
11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. at Holy 
Family Catholic Church. 

Burial: Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery

He is survived by his, sons, Johnny (Carol) Parfait of Watson, Malcolm (Gloria) 
Parfait of Houma, Lonnie (Shelia) Celebration Station, Florida, Karl (Deanna) 
Parfait of Houma, Kerry Parfait of Houma; daughters, Donna (Hank) Verdin of 
Dulac, Penny (Perry) Pellegrin of Bayou Blue, Pam (Irvin) Carlos of Dulac, Myra 
(Kevin) Christen of Houma, Juliana (John) Williams of Houma, Mary (Albert) 
Scott of Houma, brother, Oris Parfait, grandchildren, Cheramie Verdin, Monique 
Jenkins, Michelle Pellegrin, Perry Pellegrin, Jr., Valarie Parfait, Lonnie

He was preceded in death by his, wife, Ouida Ernestine Parfait, parents, 
Alidore and Francis Parfait, daughter, Valerie Ann Parfait, brothers, Irvin and 
Clarence Parfait, sisters, Antoinette Foret, Lucretia and Joyce Parfait, Clara 
Dion grandson, Hank “T-Hank” Verdin.

He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Joseph was a loving father and grandfather. He cherished his grandchildren and 
all of his family. He enjoyed painting religious statues and working outdoors 
in the yard with flowers. He enjoyed watching wrestling on TV. 
Mr. Parfait was a retired boat captain and trawler.

The family would like to thank the staff of Heritage Manor of Houma, especially 
the nurses, CNA’s and physical therapy department: Dr. Ray Cinnater, Nancy 
Warren, and Dr. Craig Wade
