All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgenweb.org/volunteers/copyright.shtml ============================================================================= RHODES, ELBERT "BERT" Elbert "Bert" Rhodes, 87, a native of Busy, Kentucky, and a resident of Houma, and Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 11, 2015, in Knoxville. He will be laid to rest with military honors next to his loving wife, Norma, at Saint Ann Catholic Church Cemetery in Bourg at a later date to be announced by the family. He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Rhodes Dominique, of Gainesville, Virginia, and Monique Rhodes, of Hammond; son-in-law, retired Army Major Dean Dominique; grandchildren, Taylor Dominique, Nicholas Dominique, Alessandro Cucito, Silvio Cucito and Gianluca Cucito; and sisters, Telvis "Ted" Miracle, of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Wauneth "Waun" Forrester, of Harlan, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Norma Duplantis Rhodes, who passed away Jan. 4, 1990. They were joined in marriage at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houma Nov. 23, 1957. He was also preceded in death by his father, Horace Rhodes; mother, Opal Rhodes; and brother, Edward "Ed" Rhodes.
