Trosclair. 77, a native of Larose, La. and resident of Mathews, La. passed away Saturday, June 06, 2015. Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 09,2015 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic with burial to follow at Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery in Lockport, La. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Merlin Trosclair; daughters, Paulette T. Alario (Chris), Janiece T. Carlos ( Woody); Grandson, Shane Alario(Gretchen); great-grandchildren, Collin & Sadie Alario; brothers, Lloyd & John Trosclair; sisters, Lois Smith & Joyce Hebert. He is preceded in death by his parents, Philbert & Ida Fonseca Trosclair; brothers, Fleming, Abel, Freddie, Irvin & Philbert Trosclair, Jr; sisters, Lydia Allemand, Shirley Bonvillian, Emily Cheramie & Pearl Bourgeois. Mervin was an avid fisherman & enjoyed camping. He loved to dance & also loved spending quality time with his family & friends. Mr. Trosclair was known as the filé man and in lieu of flowers the family request donation to charities of your choice.
