Irma Lee Simmons-Williams, 69, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of 
Houma, died Monday, June 8, 2015 at 6:00 a.m.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral 
will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Beautiful Zion Baptist 
Church located at 120 Hialeah Avenue in Houma LA 70363 with Rev. Troy Smith 
officiating. 

Burial will follow in Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery located at 2709 Senator 
Street in Houma, LA.

She is survived by: her companion, Joseph Harding, Sr.; two daughters, Elesha 
Nacole Williams and LaTia Williams-James (Logan); two grandsons, James Small 
III and Logan B. James, Jr.; two sisters, Aldine Navy and Barbara Ann Lewis 
(Henry); three brothers, William Simmons, Sr. (Claudia), Alvin Simmons (Linda) 
and Charles Simmons, Sr. (Lois); one aunt, Annie Bell Castle-Parker; one uncle, 
Curtis Castle; two sisters-in-law, Annie and Geraldine Simmons; and one 
brother-in-law, Isaac Picou, Sr.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, James S. Williams; one daughter, 
Jamie Lanetra Williams; two grandchildren, Kayla and Devonte' Williams; her 
parents, Reverend Kermit, Sr. and Leola Goings-Simmons; grandparents, Fields 
and Millie Simmons and Horace and Minnie Goings; and siblings, Kermit Simmons, 
Sr., Audrey Lou Simmons Picou and John Mark Simmons.

Jones Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
