A native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Houma, LA died on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Terrebonne General Medical Center. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course. I have kept the faith. Heneceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. II Timothy 4:7-8 A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Leola Allen will be held at Beautiful Zion Baptist Church 120 Hialeah Ave., Houma,LA 70363 on Saturday, July 11, 2015. Visitation from 9:00a.m. until funeral time at 11:00a.m. with burial at Southdown Cemetery. Her service will be officiated by Rev. G.R. Washington. She leaves to cherish her memories, three sons, Hayward Allen, Jr., and his companion Shirley, Ernest Allen and his companion Brenda and Lionel Allen all of Houma, LA. One daugter, Mrs. Judy Ann Ruffin and husband Frank of Houma, LA. 15 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 40 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Hayward Allen, Sr.,and her parents, Antione and Nellie South Harris. Her daughters, Ophelia, Virginia Allen, Bessie Lee Lewis and Mercedes Clark. Four brothers, Clifford, Freddie, Cleveland, Hewitt and Southern Harris. Four sisters, Emma Bibbins, Amy Jackson, Lillie Me Johnson and Ethel Howard. She was a homemaker and a member of Beautiful Zion Baptist Church. ======================
