Nolan "Nookie" Babin, 90, a native of the St. Charles Community and a resident 
of Thibodaux, passed away on July 31, 2015 at 8:30pm.

A visitation will be held in his honor on August 4, 2015 at St. Charles 
Borromeo Catholic Church in St. Charles Community from 8:30am until the Mass of 
Christian Burial at 11:00am. 

The burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux, LA.

He is survived by his daughters, Betty Lirette and husband Michael Sr., Peggy 
Bourgeois and husband Andrew, and Michelle Thibodeaux and husband Wade; son, 
Nolan Paul Babin and wife Cheryl; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 
brothers, Norman, James, Linwood, and Walter Babin Jr.; and many nieces and 
nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Verna Maronge Babin; parents, 
Walter Babin Sr. and Inez Boudreax Babin; son, Robert Babin Sr.; daughter, 
Peggy Babin; brothers, Blaise, Horace, and Simon Babin; sisters, Shirley 
Bourgeois and Margaret Chiasson.

We would like to thank all of the staff at TRMC, St. Joseph Hospice, Dr. G. 
Talluri and his home sitter, Sherry Lirette for the wonderful care he received 
from all of you.
