She was a native of Chicora, MS and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday July 15, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Burial: St. Ann Catholic Church Cemetery. She is survived by her daughters, Dawn (Todd) Lirette, Denise (Wally) Pellegrin, of Houma and Debra (Jason) Sova of Dallas, Texas, son, Dean Bascle, Jr. and fiancee Gina Robin of Houma, grandchildren, Blythe Lirette, Shelby Lirette Osborne, Joseph Pellegrin, Lauren Bascle, Benjamin Pellegrin and Christopher Pellegrin, great grandchildren, Maddison Pellegrin and Averie Osborne, godchild, Tanya Ezell Parfait, brothers, Johnny (Bonnie) Ezell, T. Donald (Julia) Ezell, Houston (Angela) Ezell, sister, Carolyn ‘Cissy’ (Johnny) Fryer, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe Lamar and Annie Mae Givens Ezell, husband, Dean Bascle, Sr., brothers, James M. Ezell, Sr and Curtis E. Ezell, and sister, Annie K. ‘Kathy’ Ezell. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, holiday meals and spending time with her family and friends. As a four time cancer survivor, there are many who helped in her care. The family would especially like to thank: Dr.s Dickie Haydel, Scott Haydel, Gregory Maidoh and Harry McGaw. Also the staff of Terrebonne General Medical Center, especially Tiffany and Issac in CCU, Bayou Home Care, especially Beth and Jenny and the Oaks of Houma. She was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church. ======================
