He was a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Bayou Blue, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 9:00 AM until funeral time at St. Louis Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held in St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery. He is survived by his sons, Darrell A. Callais, Jr. and fiance, Teensie, and Cody A. Callais; grandchildren, Heather Callais and fiance, Todd Aucoin, Hunter and Jamie Callais, Kelsey and Bethany Pierre; great grandchildren, Addyson, Ryleigh and Gaige Aucoin; Brother in laws, David Leonard and wife, Claudia, Thomas Leonard and wife, Roxanne, Timothy and Patrick Leonard; sister in law, Sheila L. Brasseaux; numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Judith Marie Leonard Callais; parents, Octave Joseph Jr. and Vera Allemand Callais; son, Kerry J. Callais; in laws, L.J. and Mary Hazel Eskind Leonard; brother in law, Danny Brasseaux Sr. He was parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and spending time with his grandchildren/great grandchildren, and shooting his pistols; He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and loyal friend; He will be greatly missed by all. ======================
