He was a native and resident of Vacherie, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015 at Our Lady of Peace in Vacherie from 8:00 AM until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in Our Lady of Peace church cemetery in Vacherie. He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Cheryl Brazan Holmes Hubbell; children, Angela Waguespack and husband Kerry, Chris Hubbell and wife Linda, and Shane Hubbell and longtime partner, Barbara Terrell; brothers and sisters, Philip “Buck” Hubbell, Jr., James “Bim” Hubbell, Gerald Hubbell, Cecile Hubbell Blanchard, Marie Louise Hubbell Frilot; grandchildren, Ashley Waguespack, Kaleb Waguespack, Ethan Hubbell, Luke Hubbell, Amanda Delatte, and Jacob Terrell, sisters-in-law, Ersalene, Geraldine, and Rose, and a brother-in-law, Barry, and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Judith Folse Hubbell; parents, Philip and Cecile Laiche Hubbell; sister-in-law, Mildred, and brother-in-law, Allen. He was a teacher in the St. James Parish public school system for over 30 years as well as serving in the National Guard and Army. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus serving different offices, as well as a founding member of the Vacherie Jaycees. He was also a committed adorer at Our Lady of Peace Adoration Chapel since its inception. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who benefited from his kindness and compassion.
