She was born to the late Ora Mae J. Johnson and James Crawford on October 13, 1954 in New Orleans, LA. She was baptized by Pastor Noah Smith and accepted Christ as her personal savior. Sister Jackson home going services will be officiated by Minister Bernell Gales on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Community Funeral Home 230 S. Hollywood Rd., Houma, LA 70360. Visitation from 9:00a.m. until funeral time at 11:00a.m. She will be laid to rest at Southdown Cemetery 125 Civic Center Blvd., Houma, LA 70360. She leaves to cherish her memories, three children, Claudette and Michelle Jackson and Gregory Jackson all of Houma, LA and thirteen grandchildren. Two sisters, Debbie Crawford and Shelia Johnson both of Morgan City, LA. Three brothers, Donald and Steve Jackson of Houma, LA and Darnell Johnson of Morgan City, LA. Two aunts, Mary J. Poindexter and Elaine Jackson. Two uncles, Dale and Hewitt Jackson of Houma, LA. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ora Mae J. Johnson and James Crawford. Her stepfather, Earl Johnson and grandparents, Nathan and Amy Harris Jackson. One sister, Janice Jackson and two brothers, Earl Jackson and Darrell Johnson. She enjoyed cleaning and cooking and her favorite hymn was Take Me To the King by Tamala Mann. ======================
