DERRICK "SLIM" REED departed this life on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 in Thibodaux, 
LA. 
He was 34, a native and resident of Thibodaux LA. 

Visiting at Williams & Southall Funeral Home, 1204 Cleveland St., Thibodaux, LA 
from 3:00pm to 5:00pm Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Visiting at Moses Baptist Church, 
Thibodaux, LA on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 9:00am to Religious Services at 
11:00am, Rev. Lloyd Jones, officiating. 

Burial in Moses Baptist Church cemetery. 

Survived by his father, Floyd Robinson of Thibodaux, LA; 3 sons, Jacoby Adams 
of Thibodaux, LA, Derrion and Derrick Reed, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; 5 daughters, 
Dereyana and Dereny Reed of Atlanta, GA, Lakeshia Anderson of Thibodaux, LA, 
Alaceya Verrett, and Avianta Ross of Houma, LA; 1 brother, Floyd Reed of 
Thibodaux, LA; 8 sisters, Cordella and Latische Robertson, Rochellen Holmes of 
West Wego, LA Jackilin Johnson, and N'Kare McIntyre, all of Thibodaux, LA, 
Shantell Simmons of Harvey, LA, Hilliary Simmons of Des Allemand, LA, and 
Kenlin Shelby of Raceland, LA; Paternal grandfather, Leroy Robinson; Also a 
host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Preceded in death by his mother, Gwendolyn Reed Cooks; Maternal grandparents, 
Carrie Mel and Ernest Johnson, Sr.; Paternal grandmother, Vernice Robinson.
