Jeremy James "Nooka" Russell, 33, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of 
Gibson, died at 9:35 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2015. 

Visitation will be from noon until funeral time Saturday, July 11, at Beulah 
Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, 

with burial in Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery. 

He is survived by his daughters, Janisha and Jaelynn Russell and Alexiyan 
Vanburen; devoted mother and primary caregiver, Lois Diggs Russell and 
companion, Milton Theriot; brothers, Jason and John Russell Jr.; sisters, 
Gailynn (Damon) Reed and Shanta (Armond) Johnson; and a host of other relatives 
and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his father, John Russell Sr.; paternal 
grandparents, Isaac Smith, Sydney Johnson and Dorothy Russell Smith; and 
maternal grandparents, Herbert and Elnora Nash Diggs. 

Jones Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
