She was a resident of Gray, LA. Lisa was called to rest from her labor on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center at the age of 47. Lisa was a very humble and giving person. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be remembered by her family for her infectious laughter. She accepted Christ as her personal savior on August 12, 1979 and was baptized by the late Pastor C.L. Williams of Bright Morning Star Baptist Church in Napoleonville, LA. At the time of her passing she was a member of New Magnolia Baptist Church where she served under the leadership of Rev. Roland Morgan. She will have visitation on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Community Funeral Home 230 S. Hollywood Rd., Houma, LA 70360 from 12 -4:00p.m. Her home going service will be held at New Magnolia Baptist Church 422 Levytown St., Schriever, LA on Friday, August 7, 2015. Visitation from 9:00a.m. until funeral time at 11:00a.m. Rev. Roland Morgan will officiate her service. She will be laid to rest at Halfway Cemetery. She leaves to cherish her memory her companion, Claude Brown of Gray, LA. Her father, Lores (Betty) Singleton of Thibodaux, LA. One daughter, Laquinta Dixson and two granddaughters, LaMeeka Dixson and Lynn'lja Davis of Shreveport, LA. Two sisters, Lamonica (Philip) Carter and Latoya (Fred) Davis of Oklahoma City. Three godchildren, Leontre Singleton, Latisha and Philip Carter, Jr., allof Oklahoma City. Step father, Eddie Heims of Thibodaux, LA and a devoted cousin, Demetrice Joseph. A great uncle, Willie Williams of Napoleonville, LA and a close friend, Rhonda Holmes of Gray, LA and a host of aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Leona "Linda" Heims and one brother, Lynn Nord Williams. ======================
