He was a native of Liverpool England and a resident New Orleans and Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at St. Matthews Episcopal Parish Hall from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment in Magnolia Cemetery. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Sally D. Tamplain De Mouy, four sons, Edward, Jeffery (Therese) De Mouy, Kenneth (Angie) and Thomas Tamplain. Six grandchildren, Laura, Robert and Thomas De Mouy, Ellie, Adam, Anna Grace Tamplain and sister, Margaret McNulty (Jack McNulty, M.D.) He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Margaret De Mouy. Edward H. De Mouy, M.D. completed his undergraduate education at L.S.U. in Baton Rouge in 1953 and graduated from the L.S.U. Medical School in New Orleans in 1957. He completed his internship at Touro Infirmary in 1958. He completed his Radiology Residency at Touro and Charity Hospital in 1963. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology. Dr. De Mouy served in the U.S. Air Force for ten years. He practiced in Washington State as a flight surgeon from 1958-1966. He served at R.A.F. Lakenheath (USAF) as Chief of Radiology from 1963-1966. Dr. De Mouy was Director of Radiology, School of Aerospace Medicine, Brooks Air force base in San Antonio, Texas from 1966-1967. He was in private practice as a radiologist in Houston, Texas from 1967-1968 and in New Orleans from 1968-1989. Dr. De Mouy was a member of the faculty of the Tulane Medical School from 1989- 2005. He was Professor of Radiology, Chairman Radiology Department, and Clinical Professor of Orthopedics at Tulane Medical School. He also served as a Clinical Professor of Radiology at L.S.U. Medical School in New Orleans. He is a member of the OPMS, the LA State Medical Society, the American College of Radiology, the New Orleans Radiology Society, the New Orleans GUT Society and many other medical organizations. He has served on the Board of Governors of the Orleans Parish Medical Society, and President of the Southern Radiology Conference. He was also was a member of the Royal Society of St. George and The Round Table Club. Post Katrina, Dr. De Mouy was semi-retired and had been working at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center half-time from 2006 – June 01, 2007. Most recently he had contributed by making weekly consultations at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center. Dr. De Mouy was a parishioner of St. Matthews Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made in honor of Dr. De Mouy to the St. Matthews Episcopal Church located at 239 Barrow Street Houma, LA 70360.
