Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Saturday, Aug. 22, at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Military services will be at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church by the United Veterans League. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery II. He is survived by his children, Gene Ellen Sanders and husband, Jerry, Tim Dusenbery and wife, Karen, Rosie Naquin and husband, Carey, Veronica Trahan and husband, Ronnie, Cindy Fanguy and husband, Danny, Margaret Dufren and husband, Chet, Monica Pellegrin and husband, Dwayne, Amelie Thibodaux and husband, Ted, Annette Dusenbery, Louis Dusenbery, Marie Lirette and husband, Terry, and Annie Dusenbery; daughter-in-law, Kathy Greve; 26 grandchildren; 37 great- grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Duplantis Dusenbery; parents, Teles and Annie Dusenbery; son, John Eugene Dusenbery; brothers, Clarence Dusenbery, J.C. Dusenbery Sr., Raymond Dusenbery and Hanson Dusenbery; sisters, Anna Mae Roule and Marie Jeansonne; and grandchild, Ronnie Trahan Jr. Special thanks goes to Dr. Abou-Issa, the staff at TGMC third and fifth floor North, the doctors and staff of Houma Orthopedic Clinic, Houma Surgi-Center, Mary Byrd Perkins Cancer Center, the staff of Kindred Health Care, Holly Leonard and Kim Troxler, John Donahue, Journey Hospice, Lois Arnold and Beverly Triggs. the Rev.
