Akeem Jernae' Howard, 31, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of 
Clarkston, Georgia, died at 2:10 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2015. 

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Saturday, Aug. 29, at Mt. 
Olive Baptist Church in Gray. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at 
the church, 

with burial in at Mt. Olive Baptist Church cemetery in Gray. 

He is survived by his parents, Gwendolyn Howard Monette and Nathan Payne; 
maternal grandparents, Raymond and Ruby Howard; brother, Akili Monette; 
sisters, Akia Monette, Letedra Thompkins and Niya Payne; and special companion, 
Lara Saintil. 

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leonard and Ella Payne. 

Jones Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
