James "Jim" Jones, 67, was survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Eva, two 
sons, one daughter, and 5 grandchildren.

A visitation was held in his honor at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church on 
Monday, August 31, 2015 from 9:00AM until the Mass of Christian Burial which 
was at 10:30AM. 

The burial followed in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Thibodaux, LA.

Jim was a former U.S. Navy Diver and Salvage Master, who remained a devoted 
patriot in service to his country throughout his life, "the truth shall make 
you free", passed over to the other side at 11:11a August 29, 2015. 

He served in Hue and Phu Bai, Viet Nam 1968-69. He was appointed supervisor 
Suez Canal Clearance Project Egypt 1974, Maritime Association of New York 1978, 
Marine Council Miami 1979, American Society of Naval Engineers 1982, Society of 
American Military Engineers 1983, United States Congressional Advisory Board 
1984, American Security Council 1984, and National Leadership Award-Business 
Advisory Council-Washington DC 2002. He supervised over 1,040 oil platform 
installations/removals, marine casualties, heavy lift, marine construction and 
consulting projects. He will be dearly remembered by all who knew him. "I came 
forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, 
and go to the Father", "and this is life eternal, that they might know thee the 
only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent"- John 17. We are one!
