She was a native New Orleans and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 9:00 AM until funeral time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will be at a later date. She is survived by her son, William Gerald Martinez, Jr. and wife, Mary Frances; daughters, Jeanne' Marie Martinez and companion, Tassie Eckerle, and Wanda J. Martinez-Broden and husband, Edwin H. Broden, Sr.; brothers, Jorge R. Brockhoeft and wife, Cheri, Alfred F. Brockhoeft and wife, Libby, and Gerald M. Sanchez; sisters, Gladys B. Jacomine and husband, Craig, and Yvette S. Roggasch and husband, Norman; grandchildren, Amanda Lynn Martinez, Anthony Coleman Garrett Jr., Britain Constance Ann Martinez, Emily Lauren Martinez, William Patrick Martinez and Jacques' Edwin Broden;great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Elayna Martinez, Kaydence Danielle Thomas, Britton Conrad Martinez, Morgan Jennifer Garrett and Brentley Michael William Martinez; godchildren, Rachael B. Burns, Rebecca B. LaRousse and Christian Paul Jacomine; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, William Gerald Martinez, Sr.; father, Merlin August Brockhoeft, Sr.; mother, Syliva Gladys Castellero Sanchez; brother, Merlin August Brockhoeft, Jr.. She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. She retired Mabelline Manufactory. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, traveling and black and white movies. Her favorite time of the year was spending time with her family during the holidays. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed. ======================
