Robert Benjamin Perez, 75, was born in Thibodaux March 2, 1940, and had lived 
in New Iberia since 2008. 

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 26, in Rose Hill 
Cemetery officiated by Deacon Patrick Burke of St. Peter's Catholic Church. 

There will be no visitation at the funeral home prior to the service. 

Pallbearers will include family and friends. 

Left behind to cherish his memory are a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Perez, of Chackbay, and Anna 
Cortex, of Kramer; brothers, Anatole, Rodney, Calise and Leroy Perez; and 
sisters, Mary Ann Hannah, Rita Thibodeaux, Pearl Thibodeaux and Gretel Brock. 

Robert was a world traveler, an avid reader and lifelong learner. 
He enjoyed his visits to the casino. 
He especially loved his nieces and nephews. 
In his adult years, he worked for a utility company as an engineer. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Mark Charbonnet for 
the loving care during Robert's illness. 
The family would like to thank a special niece, Trinnna Perez Boatman. 

Acadian Funeral Home in New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
